This guide gets you from zero to a working integration: you create a token, make your first API call, and receive your first webhook.

💡
Naming in the API. The app calls a container a workspace and a recording a meeting. The API uses the model names: a workspace is a project (projectUuid), and a meeting is a capture (captureUuid). These docs use the API names from here on.

What you can build
- Webhooks push each finished meeting to your own endpoint, with its summary, participants, action items, coaching tips, signals and skill results. Most integrations need only this: sync to a CRM, post to chat, or feed a data warehouse.
- The REST API (
/api/v1) lets you manage webhook subscriptions from code and identify the user behind a token.
- OAuth 2.0 lets a third-party app act on behalf of a Nonverbia user without handling their password.
- The MCP server (
https://api.nonverbia.com/mcp) lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT read meetings. It uses the same tokens and is documented separately.
Before you start
- Plan. API access is a plan feature. If your organization's plan does not include it, every
/api/v1 call returns 403 with code limit-exceeded.
- Role. Only an organization owner can create API tokens and webhook endpoints. Any organization member can view them.
- HTTPS endpoint. Webhook target URLs must use
https://.

Step 1: Create an API token
- In the Nonverbia app, open a workspace and click Integrations in the sidebar.
- Under Developer, open API access.
- Click New token.
- Fill in the dialog:
- Token name: something you will recognize later, e.g.
CRM sync.
- Scopes: what the token may do. For webhook management pick
webhooks:read and webhooks:write. Add profile:read to call /api/v1/me.
- Workspaces: the workspaces the token may access. Pick at least one.
- Expiration date (optional): leave empty for a token that never expires.
- Copy the token. It starts with
nvb_pat_ and is shown only once. Store it in a secret manager.
